	Lugano, Switzerland, 1978		XVII. International Ex-libris Congress, Lugano, Switzerland, 16–20 August 1978 For the third time a congress was held in Lugano, showing Carlo Chiesa's unselfish enthusiasm for our subject of collection. Beautiful days in Switzerland made us aware of the congress theme, "carpe diem". No lectures were given, but for one month, the large bourgeois house "Villa Ciani" was turned into an ex-libris museum, with a superb and varied presentation of bookplates.
